It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Nothing important from me right now. Just trying to work on the footer and make a decent journal.

But I might as well mention that I've ordered myself a new lens:
Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM

Suitable for portraits, nature pics and stuff. Apparently it's a good choice for safaris in Africa, so I think it's OK for me as well.
Also bought a lamp, and remote control so I can take better pics at home, without them getting too yellowish.
Would be nice with some female models now... Apply if you like!

Anyway, I guess it'll be some more concrete, rusted metal and urban decay before that ever happens. But after July, I expect to post a lot of nature pics too as I'm going on vacation.

About the gallery:
The Gallery consists of stock photos, collages, ornaments and some other bits and pieces. I haven't made myself a stock only account, because right now all the photos in the gallery are stock (apart from my Deviant ID). Therefore it shouldn't be that problematic to browse through, looking for photos. Besides, I like the varied traffic I get.

Rules concerning the use of stock

1. Be creative.

2. Hmmm...

3. That's the only rule.

No whining or demands from me. Just do your best!
I'm naturally happy to see the result, or even be credited but you don't need to if it's problematic or you have the time of the month.
I also want to encourage other stock suppliers to relax their demands a little. At least when the photos aren't personal. Show a little community spirit! Let people try themselves outside DA too!
